Autumn Shadows

A world of shadows

with trees as big as mountains

fog in their meadows

Leaves changing hues

surrounded by mazes of maize

Going for drives just to cruise

Autumn shadows

cast feelings of longing

for sitting by windows

When sorrows grow

and joy is hard to hold

cling to the one you know

Remember to find the light

even in the deepest cloud

there can still be sight

When love is hard

but worth the fight

let them join your guard

Autumn shadows

your power is not enough

your victory we'll oppose

Autumn shadows

you will not win

We won't decompose
